Responsible Labor Public Policy Framework with the Salvadoran Government
Goal: Together with the government of El Salvador, develop a public policy framework incorporating responsible labor standards and practices in order to enhance country competitiveness.
The Government of El Salvador committed itself to develop, together with BSR, a CSR Public Policy as a part of commitments it made in the document named “The Labor Dimension in Central America and the Dominican Republic, Building on Progress: Strengthening Compliance and Enhancing Capacity” – also known as “The White Paper.” BSR and partner organization FUNDEMAS will work with the Salvadoran government to develop a proposed Public Policy and its process for implementation that will promote the improvement of labor conditions and increased competitiveness of the country’s workforce.
