Responsible Labor Public Policy Framework with the Costa Rican Government
Goal: Together with the Costa Rican government, develop a public policy framework incorporating responsible labor standards and practices to enhance the country's competitiveness.
The government of Costa Rica committed in a White Paper to take a series of actions to disseminate corporate social responsibility practices, focusing on labor aspects. To do so, BSR and partner organization AED will work with representatives of the government to develop and propose a responsible labor public policy that promotes improved working conditions and labor competitiveness in Costa Rica within the framework of the White Paper commitments, with particular emphasis on the control that companies can exert on their supply chains.
