Goal: Empower workers at Finca Tropical S.A. to proactively dialogue with management and identify possibilities for productivity improvements.
Empowering workers to participate in decision making has been shown to significantly boost company performance by increasing individual productivity and more effectively streamlining the production process. However, implementation is more complicated than simply telling employees that their input is highly valued. BSR and partner FUNDAHRSE are working with management and workers at Finca Tropical S.A. to train workers and management in dialogue and productivity concepts and to design a formal communications structure that helps empower workers to play a more active role in the company’s success.
