The electronics industry in Costa Rica is extremely competitive, with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large companies competing for qualified workers. High turnover rates are common throughout the industry but tend to impact the competitiveness of smaller companies more than larger ones. BSR and partner organization AED are working with CAMTIC to increase the retention rates of its member companies by integrating responsible labor into a human resources management system that attracts and retains employees and is replicable for all CAMTIC member companies.
